Wooded Path
8x10 Oil on Canvas Board
Framed $200 Original SOLD
A Plein Air (on location) painting inspired by a footpath at Fort Snelling Park. A foggy morning turned into a clear sky allowing the shadows to cascade over the footpath. What a beautiful park--I'm looking forward to returning next fall to repaint this scene when the trees are showing their fall colors.
Misty Eagle Mountain
8x10 Oil on Canvas Board
Framed $200
Painted on location at Lutson, Minnesota, standing across from the Gondola that takes you to the top of this mountain. The mist in the background was fun to paint, and I was able to complete this painting in 2 hours. This painting was entered into the Grand Marais Art Colony Plein Air Competition in September, 2011. It hung at the the Johnson Heritage Post for the month of September. Click on the picture and it will take you to more information about the competition.
Living the Dream
16x20 Oil on Stretched Canvas

Inspired by a photo from Italy. This was painted in the style of the Impressionist artists. Soft, vibrant and warm colors. I can't wait to go find this place someday! Whoever lives in that house is truly living the dream!

A beautiful waterfall discoverd in this magical forest is one of my paintings loved by many. Can't you just see yourself walking in this forest and coming upon this waterfall--that would be a truly magical experience!
Tunnel View
16X20 Oil on Stretched Canvas

A view of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park from Tunnel View is truly one of the most spectacular sights I have ever seen. Bridalvail Falls in the back left is cascasding down the mountain in turents of melted snow. One park that you need to visit in your lifetime.
Yosemite Valley
16x20 Oil on Stretched Canvas
Framed $275
A painting inspired by a trip to Yosemite National Park. Standing in the valley and looking at the grandure around me is one of the reasons I began painting. Although the camera can capture the essence of the scene, it can't capture the feelings--this painting allows me to relive the feelings I had while standing in this grand valley.
In the Bleak Mid-Winter
8x10 Oil on Stretched Canvas
Framed $200
Inspired by a photo, I loved how the sun was shining through the trees just and the horizon--is it setting or rising? I could see standing on the bank, listening to the wind blow through the evergreens, and waiting for the day to begin or end!

Bay View
16x20 Oil on Stretched Canvas
Framed $275 Original SOLD
Looking across a bay in Northern California from one county into another. The local parks in the Bay area are worth exploring, not to mention San Francisco. I had an opportunity to live in the area for four years. Matter-of-fact it's where I began my painting career!
